Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and is a licensed Professional Engineer and licensed Realtor in Florida. Over 30 years, he has master-planned, designed, permitted, and managed more than 1,000 projects across Florida, Alabama, Texas, and Arizona. His work spans single-family residential to large-scale industrial developments, with deep expertise in due diligence, land acquisition, development strategy, and conservation transactions.
He co-founded Land Equity Partners alongside Jonathan Napier and serves as its CEO. He also founded Land Equity Consultants and The National Biodiversity Trust, a nonprofit dedicated to conservation. The Trust reflects a commitment that runs through every deal LEP takes on: protect and preserve what has value, financially and ecologically.

Jonathan Napier
Founding Partner
Jonathan brings over 30 years of environmental consulting, ecological restoration, and land and timber management. He has played a direct role in permitting, managing, and owning more than a dozen wetland and conservation mitigation banks, overseeing the restoration of thousands of acres of floodplain wetlands and the relocation of hundreds of gopher tortoises. His environmental assessments cover major parcels throughout Florida, including Nocatee (12,000 acres), Julington Creek Plantation (4,300 acres), and Rivertown (1,300 acres).
He co-founded Land Equity Partners alongside Ed Stanford, bringing the environmental science and regulatory depth that makes the conservation side of the model work. He is one of a small number of professionals in the country who has successfully permitted eight wetland mitigation banks.
Environmental analysis is not a hurdle. It is where the additional value lives.
The National Biodiversity Trust
Ed co-founded The National Biodiversity Trust, a nonprofit dedicated to conservation. The LEP model is structured from the ground up to protect, conserve, and preserve sensitive habitats. Conservation is not a byproduct of what Land Equity Partners does. It is built into the structure of every deal.
This work bridges the development community and the conservation community. Both sides benefit. That is by design.
